  • Interstitial site: a small space within a crystal lattice where an atom or ion can fit without replacing any of the host atoms.


  • Ampere’s law: Ampere's law states that the magnetic field created by an electric current is proportional to the size of that electric current, with a constant of proportionality equal to the permeability of free space


  • Fundamental Laws of Nature: Scientific principles that describe regularities in the world. eg. Newton's laws of motion, law of gravity, the ideal gas laws. Here's a great resource which goes more into the philosophy of these laws.


  • Uncharged particle: Every particle is constituted of protons, neutrons and electrons. An uncharged particle is one that has a net charge of zero from having an equal number of protons and neutrons.
